Begin with what matters most to you
A large parcel can have several different uses and more than one building. Tell WTG which places are your immediate concern and what you hope to understand. You might want to discuss the home first, then a workshop or other suitable area. Those priorities give the review a starting point; they do not establish that one small treatment zone will protect everything elsewhere on the property.
Separate treatment from other necessary work
Some concerns may call for cleanup, vegetation management or building improvements rather than additional spraying. Colorado State Forest Service guidance considers the structure and nearby fuels together. Share any previous recommendations and work already planned. A useful budget conversation should help clarify where WTG’s service fits without treating it as a replacement for other preparedness measures.
Ask about distinct areas
Request a clear description of the areas proposed for treatment and the reasons they are being considered. Where practical, discuss whether different portions can be reviewed and priced separately. For example, an owner could ask about suitable vegetation near the residence and, separately, an area near an outbuilding. That is an illustration of organizing a conversation, not a treatment design or promise that phasing is appropriate at every site.
Account for the cost of delivering the work
Dividing a project into several visits can change access, scheduling and mobilization requirements. Do not assume the total cost will stay the same or that a smaller scope automatically meets project minimums. Ask WTG to explain the practical differences between the options. Coordinated work with nearby owners may be worth discussing, while availability and price still need direct confirmation.
Choose a scope you can understand and maintain
Before deciding, know what the selected option includes, what remains outside it and what preparation is required. Keep the proposal with your broader property plans so future work can build on accurate information. There is no guaranteed protective ring implied by treating one area. Share your address, priorities and budget considerations, and WTG can help you evaluate a realistic next step.
