Pool Areas and Wildfire Treatment Planning

Keep pool water, equipment, occupied areas and adjacent vegetation distinct in the project review.

By Wildfire Treatment Group.

Provide a complete site picture

Show the pool, deck, equipment enclosure, nearby beds and access route in photographs and on a sketch. Identify current pool use and who manages operations. Avoid sending only a close-up of the vegetation, which may omit features needed to evaluate suitability and exclusions.

Resolve the application boundary

Ask the provider to explain whether any nearby vegetation is suitable under the applicable instructions and site conditions. Pool surfaces, water and equipment should not be assumed included in a ground-treatment proposal. Keep operational or water-management questions with the relevant qualified personnel.

Coordinate the work window

For WTG, discuss access and communication through the authorized manager before announcing a date. Planned repairs, chemical deliveries or events may affect the arrangement. Keep the final scope with facilities records and update it when landscaping changes. This review does not establish a universal pool closure period or certify the facility’s wildfire preparedness.
