Find the denominator
Ask what the quoted square footage describes. House floor area, parcel area and a mapped vegetation footprint are different quantities. If two proposals use different boundaries, their unit prices may not be comparable. Request the map or description behind each figure before deciding which represents better value.
List the included tasks
Review preparation, application, access arrangements, travel and documentation. Ask whether any areas or responsibilities are excluded. An apparently lower rate can describe a different service rather than the same work at a lower price. Keep pricing questions tied to the actual written scope.
Use a corrected comparison
Give both providers the same approved areas and ask for clarification where their assumptions differ. WTG uses property-specific proposals, so this page does not supply a universal square-foot price. Compare the resulting total and deliverables. If the footprints remain different for a valid reason, preserve that distinction instead of forcing a misleading unit-price ranking.
