Equipment Staging and Turnaround: Preparing for a Treatment Visit

Agree on where equipment can arrive, stand and leave without assuming every open area is available.

By Wildfire Treatment Group.

Mark a proposed arrival area

Show the provider the entrance and areas you believe may be usable for staging. Include nearby buildings, stored items and the route back out. Ask WTG to evaluate the arrangement for its proposed equipment rather than treating a wide spot on a map as confirmed access.

Explain property restrictions

Identify surfaces, landscaped areas or utility features that should not be crossed. Tell the provider about delivery traffic and other contractors expected that day. If parked vehicles need to move, assign that task to a person who can actually coordinate it.

Confirm the whole visit

An access plan should account for arrival, work and departure. Keep the agreed staging arrangement associated with the scope and report changes before the appointment. The owner should not have to improvise permissions while equipment waits at the gate. If the arrangement cannot be made workable, resolve that before scheduling application.
