Fire Damage Restoration and Wildfire Pretreatment Are Different Services

Find the right kind of provider for damaged property versus planned work before a wildfire.

By Wildfire Treatment Group.

State whether damage has already occurred

An inquiry about fire mitigation may be interpreted as cleanup or restoration after damage. Tell the provider whether you are seeking work on an undamaged property or help after an incident. Describe the situation briefly and ask whether it falls within the business’s actual service scope.

Keep recovery with appropriate specialists

After a fire, access, structural condition and cleanup require the relevant authorities and qualified specialists. Do not assume a vegetation applicator has assessed those issues. Keep any restrictions and professional findings available for later property work, and avoid entering an affected area just to gather material for a quote.

Use WTG for planned pretreatment

WTG’s service is planned application to suitable vegetation and ground fuels. It is not fire-damage restoration, emergency firefighting or a building-clearance service. If future treatment is being considered after other work, explain the current project status and let suitability and access be reviewed. A website inquiry does not dispatch an emergency crew.
